Felted Hat making – Session 2

24 April 2012

We had a fun, very productive and successful morning at Esther’s house felting our knitted hats under Pam’s guidance.  We hope to see them all in their final dried and shaped condition at our next meeting for Show and Tell.

Marilyn has nearly finished her hat prior to felting.

Show and Tell to begin with – those of us with knitted, pre-felted hats showed them to the group.
We’re a bit blurred but a reminder of what our hats were like prior to felting!
Pam checks the progress and degree of felting.
After more agitation, some more checking on progress.
Maureen and Rachel’s are finished – lovely!

A plastic bag is very handy to prevent one's head from becoming too wet!

Nikki’s hat has a nice frill around the brim.

Esther’s and Bev’s final products.
