First Meeting 2012 – Show and Tell

Everyone has been busy creating over the summer break.  Here a just a few of the items members brought to show the group……………………

Maureen shows her "bulrushes" and "rainbow" tapestries on which she has been working.

Maureen is knitting wedding shawls….wow! Firstly the bride’s………..
……and one of the five bridesmaid’s!
Last year, Audrey showed us some lovely silk and bamboo yarn which she had spun. Now she is knitting it into lace. We look forward to seeing the finished product.
Caroline has been experimenting with flax and beads. We look forward to her flax-weaving class next month.
Nina has been sewing jackets. She brought four to show us, and Rachel is admiring the lace on the sleeves of one of them. Notice also Rachel’s skirt, which contains poetry, one of which is the inspiration for the upcoming “Coast” Creative Fibre exhibition.
Nina models a second jacket. We all admired her creativity and workmanship.
Chloe shows us the pretty cardigan that Nikki (Mum) made for her.

    Hi Team

I got the detail for the poem wrong. It is certainly inspiration but for the 2013 Creative Fibre National Festival which Wellington Area is hosting in April 2013 at Te Rauparaha Arena and Pataka.
Thats the price one pays for being involved, you mix up the detail!

    Cheers Flo
